New Troop G Headquarters Plans Move Forward (Albany, NY - March 13, 2009) - Plans to build a new Troop G Headquarters for the New York State Police continue to move forward. As a result of major deficiencies and the outdated state of the current facility built in Loudonville in 1957, the State Police initiated relocation plans in January of 2003. Legislation authorized the sale of the current Troop G Headquarters property to Siena College in August of 2003, and in June of 2006 the transfer of ownership was executed. State Police anticipate breaking ground for site preparation in June of this year.

Hello, I have been a Trooper since 1997 and I am thankful for the opportunity
to be involved in such a prestigious, rewarding organization. My previous
employment consists of the Military, Publishers Clearing House, Banking and
the Postal service, and by far this is the most rewarding. I now have an important
responsibility that has the direct impact on peoples lives. I have been fortunate
enough to serve out my passion of helping people throughout my career with
the New York State Police.
I have been an enforcer of the law , a listening ear, encourager, life saver,
counselor, parent, teacher and role model, a few of many hats worn when performing
the duties of a New York State Trooper. I strive to continue to be the professional
that's always approachable to the community especially to the youth. I understand
the importance of respecting a community and the quality of support that is
received from the community in return. It is important to communicate and
to relate to the public I have been sworn to protect. My goal is to continue
to advise and inform all of those who might think a career in Law Enforcement,
a career with the New York State Police, is not obtainable. I am the example
and the reality to that possibility.
I am proud to participate in our continued diverse initiative that will attribute
to our elite professional organization. I am ecstatic about serving the public
in my current position as the Troop K Recruiter and look forward to the continued
successes with assisting the people of the State of New York with the upmost
integrity and professionalism.
