ATTENTION
Candidates who have received a recent invitation to report to the Academy for
further processing on September 13- 14th, 2008 are eligible to attend a voluntary
Candidate Processing Orientation being held on September 8th, 2008 at 6:00PM
at the Troop F Headquarters, 55 Crystal Run Rd, Middletown, NY 10941.
This orientation is designed to give you an idea of what to expect on September
13TH, review the Physical Assessment standards and provide you with an opportunity
to ask questions that you might have. PARTICIPATION AT THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY
VOLUNTARY AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND THIS EVENT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE REPORTING
TO THE STATE POLICE ACADEMY ON SEPTEMBER 13TH.

reserve a seat for the September 8th event. Seating is limited and will be reserved
in order of reservations requests received.
The deadline to apply for the 2008 entrance examination for the position of New
York State Trooper was December 1, 2007. Testing was conducted in January and
February, 2008 at numerous locations throughout New York State and ended February
9th. The eligibility list for this exam can last up to four (4) years. We do
not anticipate conducting another exam in the near future.
